To complete this assignment you need to do a library tour. I'm in the process of trying to these for everyone. I'm trying to organise 2 For everyone.
Thursday 7 August 4:00 pm College of Education Library Dovedale Campus for about an hour.
Karen and Sarah. I'll ring you. I'd like you to go to South City Learning Centre if you can
For Burnham / Leeston / WestMelton Schools
Krissey Maisey @ Roleston Public Library 4:00 14 August
You can start by looking at your own school library. Make this a useful exercise in that if you want to see change, submit your report to the principal and or the BOT. This way you are also acknowledging you are doing additional PD over and above the contract, you are serious about the change etc.
Could we aim to have this assignment complete by 15 September
Assignment 2 is about the Inquiry learning unit that you will currently teach with your class this term. or maybe you did one last term that you would like to write up. From experience here folks, Keep a reflective journal on the things you see happening as you teach this. use a digital camera to record a few learning moments. My camera is a Canon which allows me to take 30 secs of movie footage at a time. I use this to capture student voice... very powerful. Write down the very small things that you see, it doesn't have to be award winning prose, just a few jottings. Then as you write up the evaluation, reflection peppered with examples from children work, its all there. makes the writing up process a breeze let me assure you. The other surprising thing for me too was the spontaneous learning / teaching moments that I had forgotten about. :-)
Here is the assignment outline and the rubric, taken straight from Studentnet.
Sue your marker would like these in around the end of September. How about 6 October?
Good news guys your first assignment just got a whole lot easier. Lets see if we could aim to have this done by 28 May. Not too long away I agree but most of you will have carried out your Inquiry, and there is an organiser for you to fill in. NO essay required just a PMI and a few reflective thoughts :-)
So before I up load the data in studentnet you can download from here
Janet the Admin Manager has loaded your details into the computer so you can access Studentnet. Selwyn Cluster page
