Fraser: Try to run some extra workshops outside of staff meetings to meet the needs of the teachers at Kirwee.
Chris (west melton) Offer extra workshops outside staff meeting to promote/increase/improve skills in use of power points to promote maths and reading skills. Also to continue promoting the use of the Selwyn wiki space. Hey Chris, I have a couple of powerpoints that I can offer that support a couple of math areas. OG
Tamara: To share my new learning from U Learn with our staff and encourage the other 2 staff members who attended to do the same. To stocktake, assess and report to the BOT on our schools current ICT resources and equipment, and then recommend and assist with the purchasing of new ICT resources for 2009.
Olivia: To spend some one to one time with the staff and to keep the ICT hardware operational.
Teerm 3 goals
Chris (West Melton)- Promote the use of the Selwyn Cluster Teacher wiki space to explore, find information, note recent changes. Use next PD session on literacy and ICT in the classroom. Will ask staff to set themselves a goal related to use of ICT as a tool to promote literacy learning in their classroom as a result of PD session. Staff to spend first 10m minutes of next P.D session to discuss their achievements/difficulties etc.
Tamara (Burnham) - I will lead and facilitate 10/15 minute ICT sessions at the beginning of every staff meeting to encourage dialogue, purchase/promote new software, upskill staff and to share ideas and resources between everyone.
Tracey Dunsandel Set up a help tree for ICT skills in the staff room and monitor the 10 minutes ICT time at the start of staff meeting to ensure everybody shares and time is allowed.
Fraser (Kirwee) To inspire teachers to use a new piece of software (Super Duper Music Looper) through a more "hands on" / practical staff development session. (We haven't really had any fun with ICT yet!!!)
Rachel
Something I'm going to do to foster ICT within my school is to use Chris' idea of giving staff an I Can Do checklist. This is something I have just done for the school and I think that it will be very useful to know where staff are at. I will add to that staff checklist some specifics related to certain ICT tools eg. emails.
Val - I will lead a 10 minute session at the start of each staff meeting to develop discussion on where we are at on our ICT journey, ideas and goals.
Cheryl: I am going to set up a whiteboard for staff to record any sites they have found useful. I am going to teach staff to transfer a Photo story video to their blog, after I have learnt how to do it myself.
